The SKYLINE NGO is working closely with the Municipality of the Commune Urbaine d’Antsirabe. Consequently, the two entities are implementing many development projects including this waste management project.
Environmental protection is one of the central concerns of the NGO. The Waste Management Project is committed to smartly manage the waste of the city of Antsirabe. Specifically, it aims at placing garbage bins in each neighborhood. The time and the day of deposit of the waste will be fixed, then a truck belonging to the project will collect this waste which will be transformed into compost.
As results, we are hoping :
1- The reduction of the pollution generated by the dumps
2- The improvement of the living conditions of families living in Antsirabe
3- The sustainable management of waste in the city of Antsirabe
4- The change in the behavior of the population towards the environment improved by the beginning of the project implementation
After different exchanges and video calls between the respective leaders of Antsirabe city and the city of Braga Portugal, the both sides managed to agree on working together as twinned cities. Currently, we are waiting for the result of the presidential election in Portugal this coming September and will organize the date for the signature of the Memorandum of Understanding agreement in a physical session.

Between the municipality of Antsirabe and the central government of Northern IReland, every process for a twinning project between Antsirabe and Northern Ireland cities has been initiated and granted. All that remains is the confirmation of the precise identity of cities to be twinned with Antsirabe
The city of Jerusalem is ready to become a sister of Antsirabe city. Every agreement has been done but due to the current war in the territory, we are waiting for the continuation of the request.
By the way, the city of Jerusalem will also donate some material support to help the city of Antsirabe facing the scourge caused by the COVID-19 and variants pandemic.
