Under the aegis of the SKYLINE NGO, “Phoenix Basketball Club” was conceived by a great friend who is no longer with us at the moment but yet we will do our best in every possible way to honor him by achieving his goals of helping young people to have a bright future while playing basketball. Solidarity club made to educate young people in sport, improve their skills and take care of their passion for basketball, the Phoenix association is located in Antsirabe and every young person interested in playing basketball is invited to join it.
The association is made of :
The Basketball school : for every young person interested in basketball.
The school is aiming to :
- Initiate kids to basketball at an early age
- Cultivate the sport love and above all the passion for basketball in everyone
- Discover and improve their potential by working on their basic skills of the game
- Prepare them for different matches
The club was created with the goal of :
- Retain young girls in basketball
- To work on and strengthen their playing techniques
- Cultivate solidarity, team spirit and perseverance
- Participate in tournaments adapted to each category
August 16, 2021: Winner of the Regional Championship Vakinankaratra in the category U16.
August 15, 2021: 3rd place in the Madagascar Basketball Championship, U14 category. The number 8 of the Phoenix Women’s Club is chosen as the most valuable player (MVP) of the tournament.
August 1, 2021: 1st place in the Regional Championship Vakinankaratra. Category: U14
2019: Champions in the National U16 tournament.
Recently, the NGO shared some medications (CVO+) to the club members for the fight against the coronavirus pandemic
